The IT deparment added exceptions a day ago. Have you been able to connect? At least boincstats is still as the previous days... I tried reattaching some box's earlier this morning, they just stay in a "attaching to project" state & delay retrying for 24 Hr's ... |

I still can't attach the project on 2 hosts. BOINC reports "Project not found.". The IT deparment added exceptions a day ago. Have you been able to connect? At least boincstats is still as the previous days... Was that to Cloudfare set-up? They are applying rules that block BOINC and other non-human connections. There should be a way to un-block that for DENIS, perhaps through a cloudfare control panel. Paul. |

Only my Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 PC's are able to communicate with the project. Both are on BOINC ver 8.0.4. My Windows Vista on BOINC 7.16.20 And the Linux Ubuntu Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS [5.4.0-204-generic|libc 2.27] on BOINC 8.0.4 have not been able to communicate with the project server since Jan 30, 2025. |

i find it very strange that these "non-human" blocks seem to still let through the non-human BOINC traffic of the 8.0.4 client. I have 3 raspberry pi type devices. when they were all on the default 7.20.5 client, all three were blocked. I upgraded the client only on two of the hosts to 8.0.4 client and they were able to communicate immediately after the change and now connect and act normally. but the rpi that i left on the 7.20.5 remains blocked? not sure how the 8.0.4 client is getting through the cloudflare filter where the older client cant. also unclear why it seems some people with older clients are able to get through (as seen on the leaderboards) while most cannot (on linux, seems most Windows hosts can get through without problems no matter what client they use) |

My BOINC client is still failing due to a Cloudflare "Are you a human?" challenge. cloudflare have very helpfully decided that "old" or "uncommon" User-Agent strings should be banished from the internet - at least by default this is impacting more than just DENIS and made the tech news a few weeks ago, not least because a change by a single large company pushes the internet to be less varied and more centralised i've never used cloudflare, so i don't know if this can be relaxed for certain URLs |

My second Debian box it still unable to attach to the project. If I use boinccmd on the command line: ~# boinccmd --lookup_account https://denis.usj.es/denisathome/ <my email address> <my password> status: Success poll status: operation in progress poll status: permanent HTTP error The above command should return my project key for DENIS@home. If I force the project to be added with boinccmd ~# boinccmd --project_attach https://denis.usj.es/denisathome/ <my account key> The project will never initialize because for some reason it is put into a backoff state trying to fetch the scheduler data. I hope that helps. In the meantime I'll just use the second host for Einstein@home. |

This is what I get on 8.0.2 on Windows: That is because I am getting the Cloudflare challenge instead of a valid XML file. If the admin can PM me, so we can figure out a solution that would be great, otherwise I will try and find some time to implement some workaround |
