| I'm originally from Mexicali, Baja Caifornia (Mexico) and I've been living in the USA since 9yo. I'm 32 years old, and a post-doctoral research fellow in the Peske lab @ the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I am an avid saltwater aquarium reefer and enjoy the occasional beer so as long as it tastes like beer and not watered down yeast extract. |

| Honestly, I can't give you my heart for you to use as a tool (don't worry, that doesn't mean my heart lacks space for you). Being able to model such a complex system gives me hope that in some near future we can not only develop novel therapies that make cardiovascular diseases easier to treat, but that also make medical education a more intuitive process. I envision that such projects will enable the development of accurate model organoids by taking advantage of 3D tissue printing technologies, paving the way for personalized medicines and alleviating the current and future donor organ shortages. |
