Hi everyone,

As some of you have noticed, there are new WUs in the system. We are starting with a small peak of work, but the idea is to maintain a continuous flow of new WUs.

This new part of the project is related to a Database of markers of the simulations. We are populating a database with relevant values of the simulations to make to scientist easy the way to make a exploratory study of the model or avoid making all the time the same simulations.

We are working on the interface of this database and how to integrate in our website, also, we are developing a post to explain more this idea of the Database of markers.

Happy New Year!! And Happy Crunching!

Tasks are running a lot faster on OSX than on Windows. Same computer, running Windows : http://denis.usj.es/denisathome/results.php?hostid=190136 vs running on OSX : http://denis.usj.es/denisathome/results.php?hostid=4789

Hi!

We think that is related to the compiler. The OSX compiler is based in a private compiler that comes with xcode, and windows version of the app is based on MinGW Compiler. But the code is the same for every version.

Also we can't do all the optimizations in order to maintain the compatibility.

Best regards, Joel.

Hello!

Upon updating the project, I get the following error:
Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of DENIS Stable version used to fill the Markers Database.

I also tried resetting and renaming (for backup reasons) the project directory, but to no avail. Is there any known fix to this?

I'm seeing the same message too.

Stop Boinc

Delete the app_info.xml file from your Boincdata\Project\Denis directory

Restart Boinc

This should solve the problem.

Detach and reattach also works.

Hi!

We are storing the markers of the simulations in a NoSQL database. Meanwhile we are developing a webapp to access to the data.

We are populating one model now. In a future we can populate more, so It will be work for a lot of time.

Now we are not "using" the data. We need more markers and also this data could be useful to other scientist, so we are working on the way we share those markers.

Best regards, Joel.
