Believed it was mentioned in the Number Crunching section, but the last run was resulting in huge WU result backlogs too so folks were not able to upload results due to the server being all filled up with WUs waiting to be cleared.

Also, this isn't like SETI or Einstein where this is one of the primary roles of the researchers. They still have their daily duties they had to tend to which takes priority at times over the project. It doesn't mean they aren't serious, but this isn't a project with a large budget.

But like I said a long time ago, this is more a beta project than a production project.
He is working on a very specific complicated theme with just a small group. They take the beta data and process and refine their ideas and then come up with something like a 3 month run of production data and then look at that. If it meets their demands they write a paper and then look for something else.

But from the looks of it, they are government funded, so they have to write up a proposal paper and submit that to the scientific group who has someone rewrite into bureaucratic language to get the money allocated.

From the main page, just a snipet:

Ivan Royo has been working this term on the 1D version of DENIS (denis-fiber) and we already have a first version to start testing. It is a fairly advanced version of what will be the final one (still without checkpoints), but at this point it is very useful to start testing to see that everything is going well and to polish the last details.

Thanks to a grant from the Ministry, Iván is studying how cellular differences (interpatient variations) affect the propagation of the electrical impulse in the heart, and for this we need to scale up. If the tests go well, we will start running simulations within this new project. For now, they are all functional tests.

It's sort of in between beta and production. :)

They have been studying different models in the past and part of that is also the development of the proper executables.

I suspect they may be looking at the server system currently before releasing another batch.

For the moment, we'll have to wait till Jesús drops an update...

They released a new beta versione (0.05) some days ago, but without release notes...

I sent Jesus a message awhile back via this page, but did not hear anything back.
I think summer vacation is about to start or has started, which usually means this project goes dark until they come back at the start of the next school year if I remember correctly.

I have received no work since early June. So if there is going to be no work in summer (next three months) I will be very disappointed.

I suspect that as no new work has been loaded so far there will be a dry spell.

The way they do things here is they run a batch of test models, then they study the data and apply it to their theories and then come up with ideas how to refine the test data we process to get the information they need.

Then they make a new batch of models for us to run and repeat the process.
So it is a run and then a long wait and then a run and a long wait.
Now its summer and if I remember correctly all the staff go away and come back late august before the new school year begins.

So for now we are a in a dead zone. Maybe he will have new work for us in September, but don't expect that to last to long.

Well, last year there was a dry spell from 2024 July to 2025 April.
