I have not seen on other projects where the server cancels a work unit after it has been processed and does not give credit ? I only have a few of these but if a user takes the time to process them then they should be allocated some credit.

I am getting lots of tasks canceled by server. My machine is 224473. Here ia one of them.

In each case, the server sends out two tasks, but then two day later the server sends me a task for the same work unit. then the second task replies. then my task gets canceled. If the second task is not canceled first, why does the server send me a task, only to cancel it very shortly afterwards, when the second task completes. If this happened only once in a great while, maybe I would not care but 34 in the last few days?

There are two task deadlines. One is shown in the boinc manager on the client side and the other is on the server side that hosts the boinc projects. It is up to the project admin to set these two deadlines differently (grace period). Usually project admin sets both the same but I've seen a few boinc projects that set grace period to non-zero. The first task was returned 9 minutes late, but meanwhile a resend was sent to your computer.
When your computer has not connected the server to report finished tasks or ask for new tasks after the first task received and your machine has already started task 3, your task will not be aborted/cancelled.

Thank you, but unfortunately whatever happened may be more endemic.

My computer regularly connects to the server, and, just in case, I forced an update before making my post.

Here's another task, it has yet to run and I will manually cancel it.
Currently it's _4, after two invalid and two valid results. Yet it was sent to my queue and never retracted.
