Your personal background.
Looking young was never out of fashion and nowadays,
it is being emphasised like never before. The proliferation of
advertisements in all forms available with emphasis on body image has increased the demand for
treatments such as wrinkle removal with laser. With age, your skin loses its tautness and
wrinkle lines start to appear along the neck, face and other body parts.
Laser therapy is one of the most sought after anti-ageing treatments.
Why prefer laser treatment for wrinkle removal? Laser treatment combats
the signs of ageing in a safe way. It can successfully get
rid of years of ageing from your skin and also improve its texture and
tone.

Experienced doctors would tell you
the ideal treatment plan, guide you through the procedures and explain the kind of
effect laser treatment can bring about to your skin. Compared
to the invasive plastic surgery, which is equal in popularity to laser treatment for wrinkle removal, laser wrinkle removal is much more preferable.
In laser treatment for wrinkles, the outermost layer of the skin is
removed with the help of the CO2 laser. The high intensity light source with one specific colour is organised in one direction in a
very constricted manner. This is important because otherwise the flashlights would have very random patterns, and for treatment, the
laser light should be finely focused to pass on the skin. The CO2 laser removes the outermost
wrinkled skin, allowing for regrowth of new healthier skin. This laser treatment can take
from 30 minutes to two hours.

Time taken would depend on the area under treatment as all the remains of topical anaesthetic need to be cleansed from the skin. When the treatment proceeds, the doctors need to
wear protective equipment for their eyes, and even you need to
cover your eyes to guard them from the intensity of the laser
light. Only after so much preparation is the ablation or the removal of damaged wrinkled skin is
considered safe. You need to take special care of your skin after the procedure as
it would become sensitive to sunrays. It
is imperative to use sunscreen for at least a year after
your treatment. Your doctor would have skin care specialists to look after
your skin immediately after treatment. If you
are educated about your skin, it would help you the most in getting the desired skin even post treatment.
You will notice continued improvement of your appearance over the next 6-12 months with proper after care.

What about recovery after SculpSure laser treatment?
Perhaps the most amazing thing about SculpSure is that there is
basically no recovery! After the treatment there is only slight soreness, no bruising and only minimal swelling.
No garment is required and a normal routine can be continued immediately.
Over the next few weeks it’s possible to feel a little ‘lumpiness’ in the treated areas.
This is normal and usually is completely resolved by 6-12 weeks.

of the obesity epidemic. That’s why so many men and women have made getting into shape a priority.

But what if you’ve committed to a diet and
exercise plan and you’ve finally achieved your ideal weight, but you’re still plagued by
stubborn pockets of unwanted fat?

In recent years, scientists have perfected noninvasive body contouring
systems to essentially melt that diet- and
exercise-resistant fat from your trouble spots, and these treatments have become increasingly popular.
But one stands head and shoulders above the rest, and with
an astounding patient satisfaction rate over 90%, it remains as popular as ever: SculpSureⓇ.
So why is SculpSure a leader in this emerging technology?

Before body contouring systems came on the market, you’d need surgery — either liposuction or a tummy tuck — to rid yourself of that excess abdominal
fat. Now you have a choice: painful surgery with weeks of recovery time and risk of
infection, or a noninvasive SculpSure laser treatment.
It’s not surprising that the number of people getting liposuction has declined by 30% since 2000, even though it’s still a popular procedure.

And in recent years, more people are choosing body contouring systems; in fact, the American Society of Plastic
Surgeons reports a 7% increase in this alternative
last year alone.

Other body sculpting systems require pulling and tugging to suction out excess fat in those trouble spots.
You don’t experience any of that discomfort with the SculpSure
contouring method. Laser technology has revolutionized the
anti-aging industry. SculpSure laser energy destroys
the structure of fat cells in the targeted area but doesn’t harm
the surface of your skin. You can walk out of the doctor’s office and get right back to your
normal activities. Because there’s no pulling or tugging of skin, you’ll have no bruising and very little of the swelling
or soreness that you might experience with other contouring systems.

A SculpSure treatment only takes about 25
minutes per area. You can be in and out of the doctor’s office on your lunch hour.

Other contouring systems can take 60 minutes or more per trouble spot, and
your provider must massage and knead the skin after removing the applicator.

SculpSure laser technology destroys up to 24% of excess fat in the targeted areas with each treatment.

SculpSure laser technology eliminates the fat cells in the treated area forever.

Maintaining a healthy weight and living an active lifestyle with regular exercise
are important to ensure that your remaining fat cells
don’t increase in size, but the fat cells destroyed by the SculpSure system are
gone for good. At Elkins Park Family Medicine, Dr. Rachel Rosen is
a trained physician experienced in performing the
SculpSure body contouring treatment. If you’re at or near your ideal body weight
but you’re still bothered by those stubborn pockets of fat, call
the Elkins Park, Pennsylvania office or book a consultation online today
to see what SculpSure can do for you.

What is SculpSure laser fat reduction? SculpSure is an FDA-cleared, noninvasive
laser treatment that removes unwanted fat pockets that remain even after dieting and exercising.

The SculpSure laser effectively and safely destroys unwanted fat cells without the need for surgery or downtime.
Over time, your body eliminates destroyed fat cells through your lymphatic system.
Once you have a certain number of fat cells in your body,
the number of cells stays the same. If you lose weight the fat cells
shrink but don’t decrease in number even with a
strict diet and exercise regimen. SculpSure can change that by destroying unwanted fat cells for good.

The SculpSure laser’s wavelengths are specifically designed for fat cells and
treat problem areas in just 25 minutes. How does a SculpSure laser work?
The SculpSure laser works by heating up fat cells without destroying
nearby healthy tissue. Once fat tissue is heated and destroyed,
it doesn’t reappear. During the procedure, the SculpSure Contact
Coolingâ„¢ system helps you steer clear of discomfort
from the heat. You may feel a slight tingling sensation or warmth that comes and goes during the procedure, but
this is tolerated well by most patients. The SculpSure laser produces natural-looking results and helps you achieve fat reduction of up to 24%.
When receiving SculpSure laser treatment under your chin, you’ll
notice a slimmer appearance of your neck and face. You can resume normal day-to-day activities right after a SculpSure
procedure. When will I notice results from SculpSure?
Over time, your body will naturally get rid of the destroyed fat cells.
You’ll likely notice results in about six weeks with
optimal results appearing in just 12 weeks’ time.

Individual results may vary, but Dr. Adesomo will let you know
how many treatment sessions you need. If you have additional questions

All of us over 30 begin to see distressing signs of facial aging and sun damaged skin. Sun worshippers and smokers see these skin aging
changes sooner. Fractional laser skin resurfacing, a non-surgical anti-aging skin rejuvenation method was
introduced several years ago as an improved method for wrinkle removal
and facial skin rejuvenation. Fractional laser skin resurfacing was developed to eliminate many of the problems associated with traditional old
time laser skin resurfacing. Traditional laser skin resurfacing was very effective at wrinkle removal, but recovery
was long and difficult and the skin often turned white, called
hypo pigmentation, 6 months after treatment.

Fractional laser skin resurfacing was developed to remove wrinkles and rejuvenate
the skin with minimal downtime, quick recovery and normal skin color and texture
after the skin rejuvenation procedure. Recently, a new
technique called combined fractional laser skin resurfacing has been developed to improve wrinkle removal and skin rejuvenation results.
This new technique provides much better wrinkle removal and skin rejuvenation, but
also plumps and improves the texture of aging skin much better than previous techniques.
How Does Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing Remove Wrinkles and Rejuvenate
the Skin? The basic cause of skin wrinkles and skin aging changes is loss of collagen in the skin. Collagen in the deep layer of our
skin provides moisture, nutritional support, skin plumping and elasticity which is the firmness and skin tightening component
of our skin.

As we age, exposure to years of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight, toxins in our diet and environment, and unhealthy lifestyles such as smoking and tanning all contribute to the destruction of collagen in our skin. When collagen is
lost, our skin looses texture, elasticity and fullness, and wrinkles and sagging skin result.

For an analogy, think of a plump juicy plum with smooth skin. Place the plum into the sun for a period of time, water (like collagen in the skin) is lost and the plum turns into a wrinkled prune.
In an effort to protect itself, our skin surface responds to
these aging changes by producing pigment to block
the UV sunlight, and our skin thickens with extra layers of dry old
looking skin.

All cosmetic laser skin rejuvenation methods attempt to restore skin to a
youthful state by stimulating the skin to grow new
collagen to replace lost skin collagen to plump
and tighten loose skin. In addition, many cosmetic laser skin rejuvenation methods strip away the damaged surface skin cells
to remove pigment and dead thickened skin and stimulate new healthy looking
skin cells to
grow. Why is Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing Better?
Older CO2 laser resurfacing, called flat beam laser resurfacing
produced excellent wrinkle removal and skin tightening,
but recovery was very difficult, requiring weeks for the skin to heal.

In addition, traditional laser skin resurfacing damaged pigment cells in the skin which caused the skin to turn white.

These problems were caused by the fact that
the older lasers treated the entire surface of the
facial skin, thus healing required new skin cells to be produced by hair follicles and sweat
glands in the skin. This was a very slow process requiring up to two
weeks for new skin cells to cover the surface of the face.
New fractional laser skin resurfacing is effective but much safer than traditional
CO2 resurfacing. The fractional laser resurfacing beam is broken up into many small beams so that the laser
affects only small focused areas of the skin. Fractional laser resurfacing leaves skip areas
on the skin that are left normal and undamaged.
These untreated skin cells are able to rapidly heal the treated skin with new skin cells.
