I'm getting the 403 error on my linux machine. Update: Works fine with Fedora 40 and 41 with client 8.0.4. All my Ubuntu and Ubuntu derivatives (PopOS) fail with 403 Update2: Ubuntu is at 24.04 LTS level did you try upgrading BOINC on ubuntu to 8.0.4 ? i had 8.0.2 on ubuntu 24.04 and after i upgraded, connectivity was restored

5) Message boards : Number crunching : permanent HTTP error (Message 2581) Posted 23 days ago by rilian Post: What leads me to think that this may be a problem with the client version, although I'm not sure, I'm currently using 8.0.4 on my linux, and I have no problems. i'm not worried about getting tasks, that is clear there are only few now i use 8.0.2 on this linux machine, and based on release notes of latest 8.0.4 https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/wiki/Client-release-notes#changes-in-804 , i dont see any issues related to connectivity in general... I will try to upgrade some time..

If we have started, it will be easy to maintain the pace of tasks during those days. Great! Our cpus are ready!! Yeah given WCG is on maintenance, and no tasks in Rosetta, there are not much options for biological/medical projects in BOINC at this moment :(... DENIS tasks would greatly help on this matter

That depends on the internet provider I wonder what kind of security reasons this blocking solves except normal crunchers cannot participate in the project :( If anyone would like to do some hacking there is plenty of VPNs around the world to do so @Jonathan for my computers this looks like standard "boinc could not access project servers" message

I would really like to support this project again but I offset my electricity costs with Gridcoin as I Boinc. However DENIS is no longer whitelisted for Gridcoin rewards. I would happily put forward DENIS for being re-whitelisted but many members of the community have concerns relating to HTTPS and the availability of Work Units. hi G_UK, project often has tasks and HTTPS issue was solved long ago, would it be possible to whitelist DENIS project in Gridcoin ? Thank you

(Message 2377) Posted 23 Apr 2024 by rilian Post: I crunch all possible projects until 10k points then all projects where my team participates in challenges and then all BOINC projects/subprojects related to medical issues (WCG, Rosetta@Home, DENIS, TN-Grid, SiDock) and then non-medical GPU projects where my old hardware still gets tasks and then internet projects where my connection allows (Majestic12) and then idle projects (WuProp, Gridcoin)
