Some projects have a huge memory difference dependent upon CPU and OS. Speed is very difficult to collate as not many project have constant length tasks also credits awarded don't follow length of task across different CPU architectures. We are more interested in credit rate rather than outright speed.

I couldn't get very returns out of AMD's on Linux so reluctantly put them on Windows. I haven't tried Windows on my Intel's, the return and speed looks roughly what I'd expect. Only a few projects appear to take advantage of the blistering integer speed of ARM's (possibly using NEON?).

Just under 3 hours on a Pi4 at stock 1500MHz, half an hour faster if overclocked to 1800MHz.
I expect at least twice as fast on a Pi5

1,5/2 hrs seems reasonable...(and not bad!)
Maybe a fan on the cpu will help with the temperatures

Between 65 and 73 minutes per Denis task on a Pi5 with 4 tasks running, no overclock.

Wow, over 1 day for a wu with Pi3
I hope that a Pi5 will be faster!! :-P

I expect at least twice as fast on a Pi5, I've not tried that yet but I might replace my bank of Pi4's with Pi5's next year..

I have a preference for biological projects generally despite me being an engineer and a mathematician. If you haven't got your health you haven't got anything.

Family has a long history of cardiovascular problems and my turn appears to be arriving.

However one of the biggest positives for Denis@Home is Jesús Carro's attitude and communication, something that is sadly lacking in many other projects. I'm not asking for thanks and praise nor daily updates, just simple communication about what the project is doing, what is going right, what is going wrong etc as appropriate.

I use Debian wherever I can, stable and fast.

I have one Windows computer just for the odd program I might need for compatibility but doing an update on that today reminded me why I use Debian. My main archives are still on Windows, the one thing that Linux is missing is a good flexible backup program like SyncBack.

I used Ubuntu a few years ago and found it too unstable. I have better things to do with my time than debug OS problems and recover corrupted data.

Debian can be a bit dogmatic in its efforts to be stable but its gradually changing, the use of the non-free driver package as standard this time round has made install a lot tidier. We lost some programs in the latest update because they weren't classed as stable enough, if you need them you just hold off the update.
