Hi everyone!

We have compiled for all the platforms a new version of the app. It should solve the problems of checkpointing of Windowsx86 versions and will be correct validated with the new validator that we are going to run.

We hope you enjoy the new version!

Now you have the new application out will there be a correction for all the 64 Bit work units that passed through the 32 Bit computers and gave such low run times when they should not have run at all?

Were these work units faulty? Or did you get valid results from them?

If they were faulty are they going to be reissued to be re-run and re-validated?

And what happens to all credit that has been granted (there is a lot of it, for example one 2 core host has over 1,900,000 points) for these hosts that ran the wrong software version and gave what appeared to be incorrect results?

I suppose we will have to wait to see if the new software version has actually fixed the issue.

Hi!

We are going to find all defective WUs and try to resolve "manually" credit issues. The credit gived to users that didn't compute ( or compute some seconds per WUs ) will be reduced, but we have to think how to do this with justice and equality.

We will re-run some of the simulations. But we have to study what WUs were affected.

Thanks for your attention, Joel.

Hi!

Thanks for the info, we are working on it. It's a bit hard try to avoid corruption in checkpoint files and also hard to debug it.

Thanks for your patience, Joel.

Hi!
We think that the checkpoint problem is solved now. But If you can try to reproduce the bug it will be great!

Thanks for your patience and support!
