Well, I started at DENIS because of a proposal from my tutor (Marta Gómez) that they were looking for a collaboration grant within the research group. When they told me what the project was about, I loved it, as I have family members with heart disease, and collaborating in this project made me feel very good about myself.

Then, when Jesus proposed me the research and the initialisation of the expansion of DENIS, I didn't think twice; I stopped to think about that child who didn't like biology as a child, but this time there was something stronger that moved him inside, and it was the illusion of thinking that he was going to contribute to science (directly or indirectly).
Besides, at that time (when I started with the programming of DENIS Fiber) I had lost 3 of my 4 grandparents very quickly, derived from complications due to heart failure, and that is what motivated me to be here where I am, because maybe tomorrow, thanks to initiatives like this one, science will advance much more and certain problems derived from complications can be avoided.

I know that wherever they are, they will be very proud that I am doing such exciting initiatives.
