On the CPU performance page from the values presented I'm not certain what the "Avg. cores/computer" column represents. I *think* that it is supposed to mean the average number of cores for that model processor that are being used for computing work units for the project. Please let me know if that is correct or not correct. Certain processors (the 5950X, the 3950X, the 3900X, the 3700X) all show more "Avg. cores/computer" in use than they actually have with SMT turned on. For example the 5950X has 16 cores and 32 threads but the "Avg. cores/computer" indicated at this date is 38.35. I suspect that the GFLOPs/computer values might possibly have erroneous values as well. Am I misinterpreting or overlooking something when I see those values? |
