Hello ! I think it would be a great idea to compile/port the project to run on Android devices with ARM cpus (Most phones and tablets..) . I noticed the workunits are really lightweight .. even my Pentium 3 running Linux takes less than 2 hours per job (you can see it on my profile). Also it's good because you can crunch wherever you are .. In my case I'm constantly traveling from spain to finland and vice-versa , during the aircraft time i usually complete up to 8 workunits of other projects.. What do you think ? Thanks. |

Hi! The workunits that we are generating now are small, but in the future we will deploy WU with tasks 3x and 10x larger. We are working on develop the android application, but that compilation maybe will be generated with the new version of the app. Thanks for your attention, Joel. |

Would love to see Droid app too. It be a good way to add extra people and crunching power. I'd be willing to help test for Android. |

Any update on an Android client? I have a few tablets (and about to get some more from an acution) that I would like to switch over to this project. |

Any update on an Android client? I have a few tablets (and about to get some more from an acution) that I would like to switch over to this project. Hi! We are working on develop versions for every platform, but we are focus on the devices most useful for the project. Our project uses intensively the CPU and we thought that large WUs wouldn't be recomendable for android devices. Anyway, we will try to develop it when we got an stable version of the app. Best regards, Joel. |

The Computing required would seriously overheat and literally cook a tablet not recommended I have been doing distributed computing since the beginning 1995 to be exact no mobile devices in those days and besides the over heating issue battery life is an issue they would never hold out. |

Hi! Also the requirements to start computation are very high, that means that the useful time of computation in a mobile device is really small. We will try to develop it just for testing or small operations that didn't need so much computation. Regards, Joel. |

Hi! Joel, there are some of us who are willing to test potential clients on Android/ARM without credit being kept. The key I believe is making sure that any client you create takes advantage of all possible ARM optimizations, which is similar to doing it on computer systems. It doesn't seem that your WUs are time-critical so running longer wouldn't necessarily have an impact on the project. The thing to remember is although there are those that run around the clock, BOINC is designed to run on spare CPU cycles so you have to see how long the WUs are going to run based on a mid-point Android device. Some people are just not going to be able to do it because their mobile device is too old... but that's no different than people trying to run their 486s. ;) |

Any news on Android?? I am going to add an octa-core (Allwinner A80) ARM box to my farm which should be able to crunch your WUs with ease. |

Hi! We are working on new version of the app, which consist on multimodel app and that also implies an optimized code generator. We will work on android version soon, but we can know when it will be. Best regards, Joel. |

I and my family have many Android devices (LG G4, Google Nexus 7 2013, ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S6 and soon I'll buy a ASUS ZenFone Zoom with Intel CPU 2.5GHz). I'd like to know if there are news about an Android version of DENIS@Home (both for ARM and x86 devices). MSI X370 Gaming Plus AMD Ryzen 7 1700, 8 core / 16 thread 3.9 GHz AMD Radeon Sapphire RX 480 4GB Nitro+ Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Trio 4x16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3466 MHz |

I've added an ASUS ZenFone Zoom (ASUS_Z00XS Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz, but the project says 1.33GHz). Please think about developing an app for Android devices (especially for x86 ones) MSI X370 Gaming Plus AMD Ryzen 7 1700, 8 core / 16 thread 3.9 GHz AMD Radeon Sapphire RX 480 4GB Nitro+ Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Trio 4x16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3466 MHz |

What about getting machines with real power, like a computers ? It would be easier than waiting for (inefficient) Android apps ... |
