I have several beta 1.03 & 1.04 tasks validated but I never got credit for these very long tasks... (They are all flagged as finished but waiting for validation)
I've seen that these tasks were never sent twice for each beta work unit if one was canceled by another user (or was in error). So there's no chance to get them validated. For v1.03 tasks, it's obviously true as this beta was superseded by v1.04.
So I'm thinking my computer crunched for nothing... Of course, not for the developer or scientific point of view, but for the rewards given in reconnaissance of the time spent to help them developing a powerful software.
Please, could you clarify how credit will be delivered for beta tasks?

Hi!

The number of crunchers that test the beta app (less than the "stable" version) in addition to the time cost of solve one task of the WU means that to solve a complete WU it could cost a bit more ( maybe 3 days or more depending on the distribution of work). I think that in few days another user will pick the tasks of your WUs and finish it.

In order to answer the thing of non-completed simulations in Beta, we have decided that give credit for cpu-time could be easily hackeable and could create some problems. So we are designing badges for the people that crunch in beta. WE have to decided and see how to do it, but as you say, we also think that Beta crunchers needs acknowledgement.

Ok, understood.
But I believe v1.03 beta tasks are gone forever and I doubt they will be submitted again, even if I wait for more than 3 days (examples given in the first post were done 7 days ago without being resubmitted)...
So, I will uncheck the beta testing option until beta process is fixed. Sorry, but I don't want to crunch tenth of hours for nothing.

According to the Project Status page there are no validator, assimilator or database purge processes running and 106 workunits are waiting for validation.

Ok, confirmed for me too.
I got credit for all v1.04 tasks that were successfully completed by two computers.
But nothing for v1.03 pending tasks (those with only one successful return, that were never sent again before switching to v1.04)

It might be an idea to lengthen the deadline on these beta units with them taking so long

I have various wus pending, since 8 days ago... :-(

Looks as though they are starting to resend the Beta WU's that got aborted or timed out so it might take a while for them to validate...

I've got 30 of them pending validation, some of the have been resent and some are still awaiting sending.

With the length these Wu's have been taking it might be a while before we get credit for them.....

I crunched 8 Beta 1.04 tasks. I finished them about 10 days after the 5 days deadline. I got credits for 5 of the 8 tasks.

I am wondering why these tasks weren't sent to different computers although I couldn't finish them in time.
