| Your personal background. |
My name is Chris Post. I was born on May 30, 1975, and I live in Michigan, USA with my wife, who is an elementary school teacher. In January 2024, our lives were forever changed when our only son passed away at the age of ten after a courageous battle with a brain tumor.
I started contributing to distributed computing in 1999, beginning with SETII@HOME work units before BOINC even existed.
I began my career in Information Technology in 1998 at the age of 22. Over the years, I have worked in COBOL and Oracle PL/SQL software development and supported OpenVMS, TOPS-10, and Windows operating systems as a computer technician. Today, I work as an application administrator supporting Windows, Linux, and IBM z/OS mainframe environments. |
| Your opinions about DENIS@home |
Since my son passed away from a brain tumor, and because my wife and I both live with significant medical conditions, I have dedicated my time to volunteering with medical support organizations whenever possible. I also contribute to research related to my own health conditions by participating in studies through ResearchMatch.org.
It would be wonderful to see this project achieve its goals and deliver meaningful insights through its cardiac modeling work. Hopefully the data we provide can help advance the understanding and improve outcomes for individuals living with cardiovascular disease. |
