I keep noticing that the database cannot be connected to for a while just around midnight and it stays like that for a while (and I'm in the same timezone as Spain).
4) Message boards : Number crunching : No new tasks from server (Message 1735) Posted 16 Jul 2022 by Jaari Post: One thing of note: I have a bot at home that hits' "Update" on my BOINC machines every 7 minutes. Sometimes the BOINC or project backoffs are excessively long. Why are you hitting the servers every 7 minutes?? Obviously some projects not liking that is a sign that's a little excessive. ;) I'd think every 15 or 20 minutes should suffice if you really need to continuously hit them. Yav It's actually the other way around. If you request work, but get none, you get a few minutes back-off before requesting again. If you don't get work again, you might easily get an hour back-off, up to a day of back-off.
