Posted 23 Oct 2025 by Dr Who Fan Post: Is this just beta stuff outside Boinc? I'm not seeing Boinc tasks from Denis. There hasn't been *any* work from DENIS in many months on BOINC and still nothing as I post right now.. |

Posted 18 Apr 2025 by Dr Who Fan Post: I know it's Easter weekend and this probably won't be looked at by the project scientist/administrator(s) until next week sometime. I was hoping after several weeks now, the university had resolved the CloudFlare intercepted communication problem. Apparently the BOINC community that contributes to the success of the project is not important to the university. I still have 2 computers that have not been able to connect via BOINC GUI or command line to the project server since late January. |

What is mean at "No task send" ?
(Message 2789)
Posted 7 Apr 2025 by Dr Who Fan Post: Thank you for showing your computer. Makes it easier for us volunteers to help you. I forgot to ask if you had had enabled Run test applications? on your project preferences page? Run only the selected applications (all applications) If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? yes |

Posted 6 Apr 2025 by Dr Who Fan Post: Your computer(s) are hidden so it makes it very difficult to provide a proper answer. If you are worried about what others might see, don't worry it's not anything extremely revealing. Click on my Username to the left and you can see what information is displayed above my computers. No tasks sent can mean several things: * Your computer has enough work from this or other projects when it contacted the server. * There was no work available for you type of operating system/CPU/type of computer. * There is a problem with your computer connecting to the server. ### ### Currently some computers are unable to connect to the sever due to a University/CloudFlare firewall issue. See the most recent postings in the topic permanent HTTP error for more details. |

My Windows Vista on BOINC 7.16.20 And the Linux Ubuntu Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS [5.4.0-204-generic|libc 2.27] on BOINC 8.0.4 have not been able to communicate with the project server since Jan 30, 2025. |

The server does not output any work
(Message 2734)
Posted 4 Apr 2025 by Dr Who Fan Post: Ok, I'm new to Denis@home and don't know your history, but why does the server show work and not send any to my computer? As I pointed out, the project is having some problems and if you take the time to browse the forums here you will understand they are trying to fix the problems. I'm not going to keep reposting stuff here you can find out for yourself. Reading is knowledge. |

(Message 2708)
Posted 2 Apr 2025 by Dr Who Fan Post: Well, there is still no new work and there still is not an external statistics update... :( Doesn't seem like you have bothered to read all the forum post by the project administrator/scientist. The current science application is a work in progress and our job at time involves running the "test/beta" across various settings and different operating systems to identify potential issues. Sometimes different operating systems and/or computer hardware generate slightly different output. As for the stats export and some computers not being able to receive work that was addressed here. Everything takes time to fix since they are at the mercy of the university IT Department. Maybe this project is not for you since you think everything should be working at the 200+% level. |

Posted 7 Jul 2024 by Dr Who Fan Post: I see there is STILL A PROBLEM WITH MATCHING RESULTS on Linux to Windows and vice versa. Most recent: https://denis.usj.es/denisathome/workunit.php?wuid=26830656 Any update from the project manager on if this will ever be fixed? It's a shame that completed work is not being cross-platform validated correctly and not receiving credit for work done. |

(Message 2137)
Posted 25 Jun 2023 by Dr Who Fan Post: Noticed that as of this post I have 54 "Invalid" tasks across my various PC's spread over many days of computation. My question is, what makes them "invalid"? I am not having any invalid tasks at any other projects. |

(Message 1796)
Posted 30 Jul 2022 by Dr Who Fan Post: These wu's are not behaving correctly . Had to force terminate them after Boinc had exited, still running in the background! Had to do SAME thing on All my Windows PC's (Vista, Win 7 Win 8.1 - all 64 bit). The tasks were using memory & disk space but not CPU after aborting tasks in BOINC. The Vista PC did not have any MS AV's software to "interfere". The Win 7 & Win 8.1 PC's do have MS AV but I have BOINC data folders specifically DISABLED from AV scan and according to ProcessExplorer MS AV did not have the files "open" for scan, etc. Have set all PC's to NO NEW WORK ON THE DENIS PROJECT UNTIL THINGS GET FIXED (probably next week some time since it's early Saturday AM in Spain). |
