My Account link not working

Post: Hopefully this is a work around everyone can use as I wasn't able to access my account page either. Edit: All I am able to do is see my attached computers by visiting my profile page. If I click any of the "Your account" links, I do not see any of the options for my account. Edit2: There looks to have been a delay. Now when I click on those links, it will bring up my account like it should. |

However, before we make any decisions we need to request the admins to give approval. Once we have approval the DC-Vault admins will decide if: 1. The project has met all requirements 2. The project has shown the ability to supply enough work for an ongoing challenge. 3. The project and the work units are stable. 4. The DC-Vault community has nothing against adding it. All we need from you at this time is either a yay or a nay to us adding it. Please respond. |

Post: The main question I believe is which application they will use. There is an optimized version from the community that is so much faster than the original one. I think that there won't be enough work if they use this optimized version but maybe the team can provide longer running WUs (like they're doing right now) and more of them. I don't think they will ignore an optimized client solely on not having enough work to go around. You probably didn't mean it that way but some actually do think in such a manner. Optimizing the client to the fullest means that the CPU resources can get more science done. If they run out of work, the resources generally in most cases go to other projects as a good amount of DC'ers support multiple projects. |

Sorry to see a cruncher leave but not sad to see someone whom responds like this go. Perhaps you should have kindly posted in the forums first and users might have tried to assist you. I did see you had work units pending validation which may have been part of the issue you saw, but since you already stated that you are not going to further "promote this project" (assuming you mean support it) then it really doesn't matter now. |
